Zhalong Nature Reserve
Zhalong in Mongolian means sheep or cattle pen. The wetland lies at Songnen plain in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. Home to 15 varieties of crane, it was listed as an International Important Wetland Protectorate in 1992 and is a 4A tourist site.
