Situated at the northeast part of Olympic Green, the new site of the China Science & Technology Museum is near the iconic Bird's Nest and Water Cube.

The new Science & Technology Museum has five halls with different themes, including one for science lovers to play interactive games, one that introduces ancient Chinese inventions, one featuring new frontier discoveries, one featuring science in daily life, and one that focuses on the future. The museum is also equipped with laboratories, classrooms, cinemas, and a lane introducing popular science.
