Liu Lifeng's father died when he was a freshman at college. Ever since then, Liu had to work part-time to support himself to complete study in college. Right at that time, he developed a major fever on guitar. He bought a guitar for 80 yuan, and mostly learned to play it by himself. After graduation, he got an office job in town. Three months later, he resigned and left his mother with a letter. At the age of 25, he left home and started to pursue his music dream. (Qingdao News/Sun Zhiwen, Yu Hong)
