2010
"Chongqing Blues" by Wang Xiaoshuai was selected for the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
2011
"Dragon"(Wu Xia), a martial arts film directed by Peter Chan, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight Screenings category. Two Chinese filmmakers, Shi Nansun and Johnnie To, served as jurors for the main competition section, one of the rare times two Chinese have been on the jury.
