One child has died in a fire that destroyed an old wooden residence in Chengdu, in southwest China's Sichuan Province Tuesday afternoon.
China News reports on Wednesday that the body of the child was found on spot and is now under identification.
The report says roughly 70 families have been affected and transported to safety. Local authorities are trying to determine the exact number of victims and the cause of the fire.
