Dongguanzhai
Dongguanzhai was built by the He family in 1736 in Dongshan Village, Fuqing. The lower part of its wall is made out of granite, and comes to a height of about 10 meters. Earthen walls were built above the granite with windows and holes for lookout and defense.
The fort features architectural elements such as corbel steps and plinths. It is said the fort has 99 rooms in total, but it is currently accommodating only a few families. The fort shows some signs of wear.
